Supporting youth doing machine learning.
The goal of Youth in Machine Learning (YiML) is to promote learning, success, development, and mentoring of women, men, and minorities of K-12, undergraduate, and graduate students through interactions with graduate, postdoctoral students, and faculty. Our goal is to enhance the experience of all youth in machine learning, with focus groups on women and underrepresented minorities. With this purpose, we aim to help those from all walks of life succeed both personally and professionally. In helping reach this goal, we create opportunities for youth to engage in positive and engaging environments, such as workshops and bootcamps to help further their goals. Our programs are built to help that every individual has confidence, networking skills, and can build friendships that will help them succeed in the machine learning community for years to come.
